31 Days Houston Inner Loop Living – Walkable Score

Between the gorgeous weather and thinking of topics on Inner Loop Living, i have been walking around my neighborhood and the near by parks. This made me wonder how my neighborhood ranked in it’s walkability.

Walkability is how friendly an area is to walk. This is in important element in urban areas. A successful neighborhood with walking to amenities and businesses creates a sustainable urban development. I’ll be dedicating a few posts to spotlight a few popular inner loop neighborhoods which, in my opinion, are walkable.

So, how walkable is our home? Thanks to the website http://www.walkscore.com i was able to plug in my address and voila, our home ranks 77 out of 100 and 85 out of 100 for transportation. That’s pretty good!

What’s your home’s walk sore?
