Walkable Houston

Strolling in Hermann Park

Living inner loop can often mean living in a 3 story townhome, highrise or condo with little or no yard.  This is the case for our family.  We reside in a townhome with our 2 dogs and baby so, finding places to go walk is a regular activity for us.

Are you loving the weather as much as we are?  It makes our walks much more enjoyable and longer.  We recently walked Herman Park and took in the sights.  What a great park to take your baby or children!  Stroll down the reflecting river and over the bridge to the Houston Zoo or around by the Rose garden and Miller outdoor theater.

Living so close to Hermann Park is wonderful and its wonderful that they have play areas and even free plays for children.  And parking is easy and free which makes coming to Hermann Park something we can do regularly.  If you live near Rice University & in the museum district, walking to Herman Park could be a daily visit.

This is just one of the many parks just mins from many of the popular inner loop area residences. As much as we Texan’s love our cars, Houston is walkable.  What is your favorite park to stroll, run or play at?
